Metadata
- Release and track titles must be free of extra symbols and spelling errors.
- List all artists, authors, roles and display order correctly.
- Set genre, sub-genre, release date and explicit labels where required.
Files
- Audio must be valid, uncompressed and undamaged (WAV 16-bit/44.1 kHz minimum).
- Artwork must be clean — no prohibited logos or misleading elements.
- Duplicate audio files may be blocked by fingerprint matching.
UPC and ISRC
- For a new release, codes can be assigned by the label or the partner distributor.
- When transferring an existing release, provide your existing UPC and ISRC to preserve catalog integrity and avoid creating a duplicate.
- Do not use codes belonging to other releases — this causes conflicts in DSP catalogs.
Before submitting
- Verify rights to the master recording, artwork, samples and all featured performers.
- Confirm all checkboxes in the legal block on the submission tab.
- Fix all track validation errors and any incomplete required fields.
- Double-check release date — changes after delivery may not apply before the set date.
Common rejection reasons
- Artwork — platform logos (Spotify, Apple, etc.), price tags, website URLs or misleading text on the cover.
- Audio quality — clipping, silence at the start or end exceeding platform limits, or mismatch between file and metadata.
- Titles — ALL CAPS titles without artistic intent, excessive punctuation, or search-spam keywords.
- Rights — uncleared samples or third-party recordings submitted without documentation.
